Aalto Wood Program: Huoju|a|

The Wood Program at Aalto University is a one-year program that focuses on wood architecture and industrial building. Students are encouraged to learn by doing and experimenting throughout the different projects.

This year’s project, Huoju |a|, is a nomadic timber pavilion, made from repurposed wood, with a structure reminiscent of a tree, under which you would sit. The space is designed to enliven your senses; hanging wooden elements are allowed to gently sway in the wind, playing with light and sound.
